The Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM) basketball nipped the host Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM), 73-68 in Friday's non-league test.

The Hawks (14-1) will now prepare for their test against Estancia (Estancia, NM). The Bears go into the 2A District 3 test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Estancia was tipped by Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM), 67-51, in a non-league test.
