The Melvindale Cardinals football team (Melvindale, MI), was ripped 34-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Center Line Panthers (Center Line, MI)

The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lamphere (Madison Heights, MI). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Lamphere trounced Sterling Heights (Sterling Heights, MI), 34-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Thurston for a Western Wayne challenge on Thursday, August 31. Melvindale will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Hamtramck (Hamtramck, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
