December 8, 2023: Abilene, KS 67410 The Abilene Cowboys (Abilene, KS) basketball knocked off the visiting Augusta Orioles (Augusta, KS), 63-47 in Friday's non-league test.
The Cowboys (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Southeast of Saline (Gypsum, KS). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Southeast of Saline went down by Beloit (Beloit, KS), 44-40, in a non-league test.
The Orioles now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Circle for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Augusta will encounter a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 60-40 non-league win over Labette County (Altamont, KS). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 3-0.
