January 12, 2012: Waterloo, IL 62298 The Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL) basketball felled the visiting Sparta Bulldogs (Sparta, IL), 47-34 in Thursday's non-league test.
The (7-10) will now prepare for their test against Freeburg (Freeburg, IL). The Midgets go into the non-league test with a 12-7 record. In their last test, Freeburg defeated Red Bud (Red Bud, IL), 47-34, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carbondale for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. Sparta will clash with a Terriers squad coming off a 51-40 league win over Cahokia (Cahokia, IL). The Terriers record now stands at 8-7.
