The Vanguard Knights football team (Ocala, FL), was tipped 28-21 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Buchholz Bobcats (Gainesville, FL)

The Bobcats (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against First Coast (Jacksonville, FL). The Buccaneers come into the 5A District 1 challenge with a 2-2 record.

The Knights now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Palatka for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 2. Vanguard will meet a Panthers team coming off a 58-7 non-league loss to Fleming Island (Orange Park, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 0-4.
