Wisconsin High School Basketball - Wilmot nips Grant Community
January 13, 2024: Wilmot, WI 53192 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Wilmot Panthers (Wilmot, WI) and the visiting Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL), saw Wilmot's basketball squad hold off Grant Community by a count of 63-61.
With the victory, Wilmot upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Waterford (Waterford, WI) to play the Wolverines in a Southern Lakes challenge on Friday, January 19. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Waterford lost 81-78 in their recent non-league challenge against Waukesha West (Waukesha, WI)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) in a Northern Lake County challenge, on Friday, January 19. Grant Community will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 55-51 non-league loss to Naperville Central (Naperville, IL).
