Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Snyder Tigers (Snyder, TX), 62-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Estacado upgrades its record to 19-16 on the season. The Matadors travel to Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 4A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, February 10. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 21-10. Sweetwater won 58-33 in their recent league bout against Big Spring (Big Spring, TX)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Lake View Chiefs (San Angelo, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 bout, on Friday, February 10. Snyder will attempt to upgrade on its 10-18 season record. The Chiefs go into the bout with a 6-23 record after their 69-28 league loss to Levelland (Levelland, TX).
