California High School Basketball - Piedmont crushes El Cerrito
January 29, 2024: Piedmont, CA 94611 Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA) supporters were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad wallop the visiting El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA), 62-15 in a non-league challenge.
With the victory, Piedmont improves its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Alameda (Alameda, CA) to confront the Hornets in a West Alameda County - Foothill challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Alameda won 75-36 in their recent non-league challenge against San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo, CA)
Next up, the Gauchos confront the Kennedy Eagles (Richmond, CA) in a Tri-County - Stone challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. El Cerrito will attempt to improve on its 7-17 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-17 record after their 58-42 league loss to Albany (Albany, CA).
