January 3, 2024: New Paris, PA 15554 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Chestnut Ridge Lions (New Paris, PA) and the visiting Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers (Johnstown, PA), saw Chestnut Ridge's basketball squad overcome Westmont Hilltop by a tally of 64-49.
With the victory, Chestnut Ridge improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Bellwood-Antis (Bellwood, PA) to confront the Blue Devils in a Laurel Highlands challenge on Friday, January 5. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Bellwood-Antis lost 37-33 in their recent league challenge against Bald Eagle Area (Wingate, PA)
Next up, the Hilltoppers confront the Clearfield Bison (Clearfield, PA) in a Laurel Highlands challenge, on Friday, January 5. Westmont Hilltop will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Bison come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 57-51 league loss to Huntingdon (Huntingdon, PA).
