February 10, 2024: Walthill, NE 68067 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE) and the host Walthill Blujays (Walthill, NE), saw Ponca's basketball squad overcome Walthill by a tally of 55-42.
With the victory, Ponca improves its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD) to confront the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 12. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 6-11. Elk Point-Jefferson won 56-55 in their recent league challenge against Beresford (Beresford, SD)
Next up, the Blujays confront the Nebraska Lutheran Knights (Waco, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 16. Walthill will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 52-43 non-league win over St. Francis (Humphrey, NE).
