The Meridian Wildcats football team (Meridian, MS), was tipped 24-18 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Madison Central Jaguars (Madison, MS)

The Jaguars (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Brandon (Brandon, MS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Brandon nipped Ocean Springs (Ocean Springs, MS), 27-24, in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Panola for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 28. Meridian will meet a Tigers team coming off a 35-25 non-league win over Clinton (Clinton, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
