In Friday's league outing, the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), by a count of 70-60.

The Nighthawks (9-9) will now prepare for their outing against Manteo (Manteo, NC). The Redskins go into the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal outing with a 5-9 record. In their last outing, Manteo was topped by Camden County (Camden, NC), 63-43, in a league outing.

The Knights now hold a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Camden County for a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal outing on Tuesday, January 30. Currituck County will clash with a Bruins squad coming off a 63-43 league win over Manteo (Manteo, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 9-9.
