Virginia High School Basketball - Louisa County tops Midlothian
January 4, 2020: Mineral, VA 23117 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) and the visiting Midlothian Trojans (Midlothian, VA), saw Louisa County's basketball squad knock off Midlothian by a count of 71-58.
With the victory, Louisa County upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Orange County (Orange, VA) to play the Fighting Hornets in a Jefferson challenge on Tuesday, January 7. The Fighting Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. Orange County lost 59-48 in their recent league challenge against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA)
Next up, the Trojans play the Huguenot Falcons (Richmond, VA) in a Dominion challenge, on Monday, January 6. Midlothian will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 71-59 non-league loss to Marshall (Richmond, VA).
