Severance Silver Knights (Severance, CO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Fort Morgan Mustangs (Fort Morgan, CO), 50-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Severance upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Silver Knights host Niwot (Niwot, CO) to play the Cougars in a 4A Longs Peak bout on Wednesday, January 19. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-8.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Riverdale Ridge Ravens (Thornton, CO) in a 4A Longs Peak bout, on Friday, January 14. Fort Morgan will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Ravens go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 73-61 league win over Mountain View (Loveland, CO).
