The Independence 76ers volleyball team (San Jose, CA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA)

The Mustangs (9-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Washington (Fremont, CA). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Washington nudged American (Fremont, CA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the 76ers encounter the Lincoln Lions (San Jose, CA) in a BVAL - Santa Teresa North challenge, on Tuesday, October 19. Independence will attempt to move on its 4-17 season record.
