North Carolina High School Basketball - Piedmont crushes Central

November 29, 2023: Monroe, NC 28110

Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Central Eagles (Pageland, SC), 48-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Piedmont upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Panthers host East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-3. East Gaston lost 47-26 in their recent non-league bout against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 61-52 non-league loss to Cheraw (Cheraw, SC).
