The Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) basketball felled the visiting Kecoughtan Warriors (Hampton, VA), 66-53 in Monday's league test.

The Bruins (12-5) will now prepare for their test against Woodside (Newport News, VA). The Wolverines go into the 6A Conference 2 test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Woodside thwarted Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA), 70-38, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Bethel for a 6A Conference 2 test on Tuesday, January 27. Kecoughtan will meet a Bruins team coming off a 74-46 non-league win over Denbigh (Newport News, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 14-2.
