Indiana High School Basketball - Mooresville thwarts Avon
January 24, 2009: Mooresville, IN 46158 The Mooresville Pioneers (Mooresville, IN) basketball felled the visiting Avon Orioles (Avon, IN), 62-54 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Pioneers (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Whiteland (Whiteland, IN). The Warriors go into the Mid-State test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Whiteland defeated New Palestine (New Palestine, IN), 56-37, in a non-league test.
The Orioles now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Zionsville for a Hoosier Crossroads test on Friday, January 30. Avon will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 43-38 non-league win over Roncalli (Indianapolis, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 12-1.
