The Lafayette Commodores baseball team (Oxford, MS), was overwhelmed 8-3 in Monday's non-league outing with the host North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS)

The Vikings now hold a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cleveland Central for a non-league outing on Tuesday, March 13. North Pontotoc will confront a Wolves team coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Greenland (Greenland, AR). The Wolves record now stands at 2-5.

Next, the Commodores confront the Caledonia Confederates (Caledonia, MS) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, March 14. Lafayette will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Confederates go into the outing with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to Mooreville (Mooreville, MS).
