Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cedar Falls Tigers (Cedar Falls, IA), 69-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Waterloo West upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Wahawks host Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA) to play the Saints in a Mississippi Valley bout on Tuesday, January 25. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Xavier won 73-39 in their recent league bout against Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Liberty Lightning (North Liberty, IA) in a Mississippi Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 25. Cedar Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Lightning go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 51-47 league win over Prairie (Cedar Rapids, IA).
