December 30, 2021: North Richland Hills, TX 76180 The Abilene Eagles basketball team (Abilene, TX), was overwhelmed 60-37 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Birdville Hawks (North Richland Hills, TX)
The Hawks now possess a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Dallas for a 5A Region I District 6 battle on Tuesday, January 4. Birdville will confront a Falcons team coming off a 62-53 non-league win over Cooper (Lubbock, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 17-4.
The Eagles (5-18) will now prepare for their battle against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX). The Tigers come into the 6A Region I District 2 battle with a 16-5 record. In their last battle, Frenship trounced Rockwall (Rockwall, TX), 56-49, in a non-league battle.
