Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ), 11-0 in a league challenge.

The Thunder now sport a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gilbert for a 6A Central challenge on Monday, April 10. Desert Vista will face a Tigers squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, Highland falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Hawks host Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ) to face the Jaguars in a 6A Central challenge on Monday, April 10. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 8-11. Desert Ridge lost 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ)
