The Sunnyside Wildcats (Fresno, CA) basketball nipped the host Liberty Patriots (Bakersfield, CA), 65-60 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (13-4) will now prepare for their test against Torres (Madera, CA). The Toros go into the North Yosemite test with a 6-9 record.

The Patriots now own a 11-9 record. They play next when they travel to Centennial for a South Yosemite - River test on Wednesday, January 17. Liberty will encounter a Golden Hawks squad coming off a 77-70 non-league win over Hoover (Fresno, CA). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 14-5.
