December 15, 2023: Durand, WI 54736 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Durand-Arkansaw Panthers (Durand, WI) and the visiting Melrose-Mindoro Mustangs (Melrose, WI), saw Durand-Arkansaw's basketball team triumph over Melrose-Mindoro by a score of 66-25.
The Panthers now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Glenwood City for a Dunn-St. Croix contest on Tuesday, December 19. Durand-Arkansaw will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 73-20 league loss to Mondovi (Mondovi, WI). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 1-7.
The Mustangs (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cashton (Cashton, WI). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Cashton triumphed over Brookwood (Ontario, WI), 51-41, in a league contest.
