Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES (Mount Carmel, PA) and the visiting Loyalsock Township Lancers (Williamsport, PA), saw Mount Carmel's basketball squad hold off Loyalsock Township by a count of 51-50.

With the victory, Mount Carmel upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The RED TORNADOES travel to Hughesville (Hughesville, PA) to play the Spartans in a Heartland III challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Hughesville won 74-56 in their recent league challenge against Bloomsburg (Bloomsburg, PA)

Next up, the Lancers play the Montoursville Warriors (Montoursville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 16. Loyalsock Township will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 55-33 non-league win over Mifflinburg (Mifflinburg, PA).
