Bacon Academy Bobcats (Colchester, CT) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Bobcats face the Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 12. Bacon Academy will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Redmen enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-1 non-league win over St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT).

The Falcons now have a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host East Lyme for a Eastern Connecticut I challenge on Thursday, October 12. Fitch will face a Vikings team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Windham (Willimantic, CT). The Vikings record now stands at 9-0.
