Jefferson Yellowjackets (Council Bluffs, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders (Sioux City, IA), 62-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Jefferson upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Le Mars (Le Mars, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a Missouri River bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 5-13. Le Mars lost 95-84 in their recent league bout against Sioux City West (Sioux City, IA)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Lincoln Lynx (Council Bluffs, IA) in a Missouri River bout, on Saturday, February 3. Bishop Heelan Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record.
