Virginia High School Football - Alleghany routed by Glenvar
October 15, 2021: Covington, VA 24426 The Alleghany Mountaineers football team (Covington, VA), was ripped 63-8 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA)
The Highlanders (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights come into the Three Rivers challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, James River trounced Floyd County (Floyd, VA), 34-19, in a league challenge.
The Mountaineers now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Carroll County for a Three Rivers challenge on Friday, October 22. Alleghany will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 21-12 league win over Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-6.
