The New Hanover Wildcats baseball team (Wilmington, NC), was tipped 6-5 in Friday's league outing with the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC)

The Buccaneers now hold a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A outing on Tuesday, April 12. Laney will confront a Scorpions team coming off a 9-0 league loss to South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 8-6.

Next, the Wildcats confront the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A outing, on Tuesday, April 12. New Hanover will attempt to advance on its 11-3 season record. The Pirates go into the outing with a 4-6 record after their 7-5 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).
