The West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) football routed the visiting Center Hill Mustangs (Olive Branch, MS), 56-21 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Green Wave face the Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS) in a 5A Region 1 bout, on Friday, October 17. West Point will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The enter the bout with a 0-7 record after their 27-12 league loss to New Hope (Columbus, MS).

The Mustangs (4-4) will now prepare for their bout against Saltillo (Saltillo, MS). The Tigers enter the 5A Region 1 bout with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Saltillo was ripped by Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS), 20-15, in a league game.
