Texas High School Basketball - Vela overwhelms Nixon

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) and the host Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), saw Vela's basketball squad wallop Nixon by a tally of 81-60.

With the victory, Vela improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Sabercats travel to Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX) to confront the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 2. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Boerne-Champion won 60-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Cigarroa (Laredo, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Cole Cougars (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 2. Nixon will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 59-42 non-league loss to Alexander (Laredo, TX).
