Mississippi High School Basketball - Laurel can't hold off St. Patrick

The St. Patrick Fighting Irish basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting Laurel Golden Tornadoes to 72 in the Fighting Irish non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Fighting Irish now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bay for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. St. Patrick will battle a Tigers team coming off a 56-33 league win over Poplarville (Poplarville, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 2-10.

The Golden Tornadoes (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Gautier (Gautier, MS). The Gators enter the 5A Region 4 contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Gautier nudged East Central (Moss Point, MS), 42-38, in a league contest.
