The Jefferson Area Falcons basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Pymatuning Valley Lakers to 62 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Falcons now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host McKinley for a Northeast 8 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Jefferson Area will battle a Red Dragons team coming off a 79-61 league win over Hubbard (Hubbard, OH). The Red Dragons record now stands at 8-3.

The Lakers (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Badger (Kinsman, OH). The Braves enter the Northeastern contest with a 11-0 record. In their last contest, Badger ran past Conneaut (Conneaut, OH), 74-29, in a non-league contest.
