Alabama High School Softball - Hewitt-Trussville holds off Spain Park
April 16, 2024: Trussville, AL 35173 Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (Trussville, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Spain Park Jaguars (Hoover, AL), 10-8 in a league challenge.
The Huskies now sport a 23-4 record. They take the field next when they host Oak Mountain for a 7A Area 6 challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Hewitt-Trussville will face a Eagles squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to Chelsea (Chelsea, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 18-14.
With the loss, Spain Park falls to 16-12 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 22-9. Tuscaloosa County lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Thompson (Alabaster, AL)
