The Boaz Pirates basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Leeds Greenwave to 16 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Pirates now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherokee County for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Boaz will meet a Warriors team coming off a 55-40 non-league win over Sardis (Boaz, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 9-3.

The Greenwave (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Gaston (Gadsden, AL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Gaston was routed by Southeastern (Remlap, AL), 60-43, in a non-league contest.
