California High School Softball - Ripon nudges Escalon

Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverbank for a Trans Valley League challenge on Friday, April 19. Ripon will battle a Bruins squad coming off a 4-1 league loss to Hilmar (Hilmar, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Escalon falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Cougars host Livingston (Livingston, CA) to battle the Wolves in a Trans Valley League challenge on Friday, April 19. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 7-10. Livingston won 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Hughson (Hughson, CA)
