Avon Orioles (Avon, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Noblesville Millers (Noblesville, IN), 47-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Avon upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Orioles host Martinsville (Martinsville, IN) to play the Artesians in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 20. The Artesians go into the bout with a record of 6-17. Martinsville lost 50-31 in their recent non-league bout against Columbus East (Columbus, IN)

Next up, the Millers play the Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins (Fort Wayne, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 16. Noblesville will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 62-49 league loss to Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (Fort Wayne, IN).
