The Boyd County Lions basketball team scored 62 points and held the host West Carter Comets to 57 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Montgomery County for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 12. Boyd County will meet a Indians team coming off a 59-48 league win over Bourbon County (Paris, KY). The Indians record now stands at 10-13.

The Comets (11-12) will now prepare for their contest against East Carter (Grayson, KY). The Raiders enter the District 62 contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, East Carter nudged Morgan County (West Liberty, KY), 39-33, in a league contest.
