Salem Witches (Salem, MA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), 80-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Salem upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Witches host Salem Academy Charter (Salem, MA) to clash with the Navigator in a non-league bout on Friday, January 28. The Navigator go into the bout with a record of 9-4. Salem Academy Charter lost 51-48 in their recent non-league bout against Prospect Hill Academy (Cambridge, MA)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Danvers Falcons (Danvers, MA) in a Northeastern - Small bout, on Thursday, January 27. Winthrop will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 47-39 league loss to Saugus (Saugus, MA).
