December 11, 2021: Frankfort, IL 60423 The North Lawndale Phoenix (Chicago, IL) basketball nipped the host Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL), 60-57 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Phoenix (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Farragut (Chicago, IL). The Admirals go into the Chicago Public - Red Northwest test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Farragut was tipped by De La Salle (Chicago, IL), 51-37, in a non-league test.
The Griffins now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Andrew for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 14. Lincoln-Way East will encounter a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 53-42 non-league loss to Lockport (Lockport, IL). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 6-2.
