Oklahoma High School Basketball - Verdigris fells Purcell
January 6, 2024: Claremore, OK 74019 Verdigris Cardinals (Claremore, OK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Purcell Dragons (Purcell, OK), 62-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Verdigris upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Cardinals host Jay (Jay, OK) to play the Bulldogs in a Verdigris Valley bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Jay lost 58-18 in their recent non-league bout against Grove (Grove, OK)
Next up, the Dragons play the Marlow Outlaws (Marlow, OK) in a Canadian Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Purcell will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Outlaws go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 45-24 non-league loss to Latta (Ada, OK).
