Game Summary
Rocky Hill started off their season facing off against The Prout School on Saturday afternoon. Despite missing some key players, the Mariners started off well, getting on the board about ten minutes in when senior Andrew Fuvich got to the endline and crossed, finding sophomore Dudley Sampanaro at the back post. Prout responded with two quick goals to take the lead. Shortly before the half Rocky Hill leveled things when sophomore Jake Krikorian was taken down inside the box and then scored on the resulting penalty. The second half was a pretty even affair and with thirteen minutes left Rocky Hill was able to retake the lead when senior Keanu Palavra sent a through ball past the defense and Fuvich rounded the keeper and tucked it home. Unfortunately the Mariners couldn't hold on and Prout scored twice in the final ten minutes to earn the victory. Despite the loss senior center-backs Marshall Lind and Bennett Fine both played well and looked like a solid pairing in the back.
