In Friday's non-league outing, the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) basketball squad beat the visiting Veritas School Lions (Richmond, VA), by a margin of 50-40.

The Gryphons (13-4) will now prepare for their outing against Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 10-6 record. In their last outing, Westover Christian Academy defeated Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA), 67-37, in a league outing.

The Lions now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Christchurch School for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 24.
