The Meridian Mustangs basketball team (Daykin, NE), was nudged 44-38 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Johnson-Brock Eagles (Johnson, NE)

The Eagles now possess a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lewiston for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 18. Johnson-Brock will battle a Tigers team coming off a 33-32 non-league win over Omaha Christian Academy (Omaha, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 6-4.

The Mustangs (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Exeter-Milligan (Exeter, NE). The Timberwolves come into the non-league battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Exeter-Milligan edged Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE), 36-17, in a non-league battle.
