The Independence Knights (Frisco, TX) volleyball nudged the host Plano Wildcats (Plano, TX), 2-1 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 8-11 on the year. The Knights travel to Lake Travis (Austin, TX) to face the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Saturday, August 27. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a record of 14-7.

The Wildcats now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Rockwall-Heath for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 27. Plano will face a Hawks squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Coronado (El Paso, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 13-10.
