The Southwestern Rebels (Hanover, IN) basketball nipped the visiting South Decatur Cougars (Greensburg, IN), 51-46 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Rebels (7-12) will now prepare for their test against Switzerland County (Vevay, IN). The Pacers go into the Ohio River Valley test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Switzerland County was tipped by Lawrenceburg (Lawrenceburg, IN), 56-38, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they host Crothersville for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. South Decatur will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 65-8 league loss to Lanesville (Lanesville, IN). The Tigers record now stands at 0-12.
