The North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT) football edged the visiting Ellington Knights (Ellington, CT), 22-21 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Thunderbirds face the Cromwell/Portland (Cromwell, CT) in a Pequot - Sassacus North bout, on Thursday, November 17. North Branford will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The enter the bout with a 8-0 record after their 49-14 non-league win over Granby Memorial (Granby, CT).

The Knights (6-4) will now prepare for their game against Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton (Coventry, CT). The Patriots come into the Pequot - Uncas East game with a 4-4 record.
