The Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA) football overcame the visiting Covington Lions (Covington, LA), 44-28 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Tornadoes face the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) in a 5A District 6 bout, on Friday, November 2. Hammond will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Green Wave enter the bout with a 2-7 record after their 21-7 league loss to Northshore (Slidell, LA).

The Lions (3-7) will now prepare for their bout against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Skippers enter the 5A District 6 bout with a 2-6 record. In their last bout, Mandeville was toppled by St. Paul's (Covington, LA), 14-10, in a league bout.
