Minnesota High School Basketball - Browerville knocked off by Staples-Motley
January 4, 2024: Staples, MN 56479 The Staples-Motley Cardinals basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Browerville Tigers to 55 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Henning for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Staples-Motley will battle a Hornets team coming off a 66-55 non-league win over Wadena-Deer Creek (Wadena, MN). The Hornets record now stands at 8-2.
The Tigers (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (Long Prairie, MN). The Thunder enter the A Section 5 contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle was defeated by Foley (Foley, MN), 72-32, in a non-league contest.
