The Wimberley Texans (Wimberley, TX) football nudged the visiting Fredericksburg Billies (Fredericksburg, TX), 17-14 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Texans face the Lampasas Badgers (Lampasas, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 23. Wimberley will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Badgers come into the game with a 3-1 record after their 44-13 non-league win over Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX).

The Billies now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Marble Falls for a non-league game on Friday, September 23. Fredericksburg will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 28-21 non-league loss to Tivy (Kerrville, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-2.
